About Our Principal

Mr. Mark Getz - Principal, Hamilton Elementary

I started my journey in school administration at Stroudsburg Junior High School in 2018. Prior to that, I started my teaching career back in 2005 at Pleasant Valley School, where I taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade for 13 years. I am proud to be a certified Keys to Literacy trainer for grades Pre-K through 3rd.

I obtained my Elementary Certification from Wilkes University and completed my Masters of Elementary Education at Cedar Crest College. Additionally, I earned certifications as a Principal and Superintendent from Delaware Valley University.

Residing in Saylorsburg with my family, I cherish moments spent together at the beach and cheering on my daughter during lacrosse games. I was raised in Nazareth and graduated from Nazareth Area High School. I have a passion for sports like wrestling, football, lacrosse,golf, baseball, and hockey. My favorite professional teams are the New York Yankees, Miami Dolphins, and Philadelphia Flyers. When it comes to teaching, Reading is my favorite subject.

My goal at Hamilton Elementary is to create a supportive and safe atmosphere that encourages students to be enthusiastic about learning and driven to reach their individual goals.
