Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support

DOJO

Be Safe, Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Responsible

School-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention (SWPBIS) is a system of support that includes proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create a positive school environment. SWPBIS is implemented in areas including the classroom and non-classroom settings (such as hallways, buses, and bathrooms). This behaviorally-based framework is used to enhance school behavior by improving the link between research based practices and the environments in which teaching and learning occurs.     Our goal is to improve the overall school climate and culture of our school by increasing and rewarding positive behaviors and improved student achievement.

Our four schoolwide expectations are:

Be Safe, Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Responsible

At Hamilton Elementary School, when students follow our four expectations, they will be rewarded with a DOJO point.  Students will be spending their DOJO points every day 6, or saving points for larger rewards.  We will be offering experiences such as lunch bunch, a cafeteria VIP table, gift cards, and more!

We will also be holding various building wide events to celebrate the positive behavior at Hamilton Elementary.
